WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Richard Vara of Westerville Ohio, was appointed as the new state director by the Christian Coalition of America.

Richard Vara was selected to serve as the state director because of his experience, commitment to educate & train, reach out and offer support to Christians of all denominations across both party lines to collaborate on critical issues.

The newly appointed state director will focus on strengthening and building rapport with its members, supporters and potential advocate organizations to establish high-volume support on key public policy issues within the communities of common interest stakeholders across Ohio.

Christian Coalition of America Names New Leader in North Carolina

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Christian Coalition of America has named a new Executive Director for its North Carolina chapter. Jeff Lominac of Conover, North Carolina will take over as Executive Director effective immediately. Married with a young daughter, Lominac is an active member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Conover and has worked with the Catawba County Christian Coalition in various capacities for the past 15 years.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Christian Coalition of America commends the five justices on the Supreme Court who upheld the ban on the gruesome procedure called partial birth abortion, legislation which passed overwhelmingly in the U.S. Houses of Representatives (281-142) and in the U.S. Senate (64-34).

Over 80% of the American people wanted this barbaric abortion banned and after years of judicial wrangling, the United States Supreme Court finally ended this abomination in America.

Christian Coalition Expresses Disappointment with Senators that Opposed the Flag Amendment

Washington, D.C. -- Yesterday, just one week shy of Independence Day, the U.S. Senate, by a vote of 66 to 34, failed to approve sending the proposed Flag Protection Amendment to the states for ratification. In doing so, the Senate missed yet another opportunity to align itself with the vast majority of the American people, as well as to allow the states to have a chance to debate an important issue.
