Say "I do" to supporting traditional marriage
By one vote, the US Supreme Court has overturned the 1996 federal "Defense of Marriage Act", in which Congress defined marriage as the union of one man and one woman.
As a result, the Court has put state marriage laws at risk as well as the religious liberties of tens of millions of America's Christians.
Despite the fact that millions of Americans have voted in over thirty states to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman, the attacks on marriage have continued.
Judges in some states have imposed gay marriage on citizens without their approval.
Even our own government - Obama's Justice Department - joined in the attack by asking judges to overturn the will of the voters!
And now we have this from the Supreme Court.
The simple fact is that liberals cannot get their way at the ballot box, so they try to push their radical agenda through our nation's courts by convincing judges to overturn the will of the American people.
It is the same thing they did with abortion with Roe vs. Wade.
You and I know that our founding fathers never intended for the Constitution they gave us to be used to destroy marriage as a union between a man and a woman. We also know that they never intended for judges to circumvent the will of the people.
As concerned Christians who cherish marriage as God intended it to be, we cannot sit idly by.
We must speak out and let our elected officials know how we feel.
We must let them know that we demand that they protect traditional marriage laws in our states, and the religious liberty of America's Christians to be free from persecution for upholding the Biblical definition of marriage.
