Say yes to "Cut, Cap & Balance"!

Dear Friend,

The US House of Representatives will vote sometime Tuesday on what is known as the “Cut, Cap and Balance Act” (HR 2560) – a bill that would mandate cuts in the federal budget, a cap on federal spending, and congressional passage of a balanced budget amendment to the US Constitution before any extension of our national debt limit.

In addition, the US Senate will take up the same issue (S.1340) soon.

Members of Congress need to hear from you.  The need to know that conservatives demand that there be no extensions of our national debt without REAL reform.  They need to know that we oppose continuing to push the financial burden off on our children and grandchildren.

With a national debt of over fourteen trillion dollars, it is obvious that America’s families can’t rely on Washington to control its spending habits without the force of law.  It’s time that our federal government be forced to live within its means just as most state governments are – by way of a constitutional amendment.

On Monday, we announced that Christian Coalition of America will be scoring the upcoming votes on the “Cut, Cap and Balance Act” in the US House and Senate for our upcoming 2011 Congressional Scorecards.

We’ve put them on notice that we are watching.  But they need to hear from you as well.

Please take a moment as soon as you can and contact your members of Congress and let them know that you support the “Cut, Cap and Balance” approach.

Contact them as soon as possible, then forward a copy of this message on to fellow conservatives!

Sincerely,
