Capitol Hill Update: Co-ops Just a Trojan Horse for Obamacare "Public Option"?

It was welcome news on Sunday when Barack Obama's Health and Human Services Secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, went on CNN to make an announcement that what the president wants is to introduce competitors to private insurance plans, and whether this is done by a government-run insurance program or private cooperatives is not important. She stated that the public-option plan is "not the essential element."  Obama's press secretary, Robert Gibbs, backed her up on CBS' "Face the Nation" on Sunday.

Capitol Hill Update: Mark Lloyd: Killer of conservative talk radio?

The new  --  who knew there was an old one  --  "Chief Diversity Officer" Mark Lloyd at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is bound and determined to kill conservative talk show radio once and for all, a goal of such die-hard left-wingers such as Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, et al.  There actually was never an old Chief Diversity Officer.  No other president would have even considered such a laughable position.

Capitol Hill Update: Tim Ryan, the fake pro-life Democrat

A Democrat congressman from the moderate/conservative 17th District of Ohio, Tim Ryan, a 4th term Catholic, who has pretended to be a pro-lifer to get himself reelected, is now the rage amongst the pro-death movement, commonly called the abortion-rights movement.  There is the recent infamous photo, widely distributed, of the radical left-wing and pro-abortion Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro from Connecticut, snuggling up to his face with a smug look which says "We captured yet another naive Blue Dog Democrat with our cunning pro-choice words."

The nation's premier pro-life organization, the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) in Washington D.C. issued a release entitled:  "NRLC announces 'Tim Ryan, pro-life impersonator' webpage."   In it, the NRLC condemns Congressman Ryan for "(undermining) the efforts of the pro-life members of the U.S. House of Representatives (of both parties) who are seeking to remove pro-abortion provisions from the health care bills being pushed by the Obama White House."

Capitol Hill Update: Obama: "I supported single-payer health care before I didn't support it"

During his presidential campaign of 2004, Senator John Kerry made famous the statement regarding the $87 billion war supplemental bill for the troops in the Iraq War:  "I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it."

One of the biggest prevarications from Barack Obama is that he does not support a single-payer (i.e. socialist) government health care system.  Of course he does, and most of the key health care advisers in his administration support such a system.

Indeed, during his presidential campaign, Obama told an audience that "I am a proponent of a universal health care system; a single-payer system."  His disinformation chieftan, Linda Douglas  --  who some say took a demotion from a mainstream news network to work in his administration, and who would make the likes of Joseph Goebbels very proud  --  keeps prevaricating for her boss saying that Obama did not say what he actually said.

Capitol Hill Update: Support for Obamacare dropping like a rock

Obama's poll numbers on his health care bill are dropping precipitously.  By a margin of 56% to 39%, America's seniors over age 65 are now opposed to Obamacare because they know they will have drastic cuts in the quality of their health care.

Governor Sarah Palin was right in her criticism that Obama's health care boards will decide what kind of care seniors and those with disabilities will receive.  Amongst Americans in general, 53% oppose Obamacare whereas only 42% support it.

Americans need to continue to question their Members of Congress in townhall meeting and contact them through letters, calls, FAXes, twitters, and with personal meetings in their state/district offices and to tell them to reject big government health care legislation.
