ORANGE COUNTY ( CALIFORNIA ) NEWSPAPER - New Immigrants
This is a very good letter to the editor. This woman made some good points..
For some reason, people have difficulty structuring their arguments when arguing against supporting the currently proposed immigration revisions. This lady made the argument pretty simple. It was NOT printed in the Orange County Paper...................

Newspapers simply won't publish letters to the editor which they either deem politically incorrect (read below) or which does not agree with the philosophy they're pushing on the public. This woman wrote a great letter to the editor that should have been published; but, with your help it will get published via cyberspace!

From: "David LaBonte"
My wife, Rosemary, wrote a wonderful letter to the editor of the OC Register which, of course, was not printed. So, I decided to "print" it myself by sending it out on the Internet. Pass it along if you feel so inclined. I sincerely hope this letter gets read by millions of people all across the nation!!
Here is her letter, written in response to a series of letters to the editor in the Orange County Register:  read more »

You will see "Tea Party" on a ballot

CORRECTION!  CORRECTION!  CORRECTION!

There will be a "Tea Party" on the ballot in Florida.

The "Tea Party" rallies, the largest of which was held on 9/12/2009 (an estimated 1.5 million people assembled in Washington D.C.), were originally meant to: 1) remind Americans of how Bostonians protested the tax on tea in 1773; 2) rally conservatives to return to voting for the Republican Party candidates; 3) encourage the Republican Party candidates to be more conservative.  The "TEA" of "Tea Party" became an acronym for "Taxed Enough Already," and the first rally was on April 15, 2009.  read more »

Napolitano: Supreme Court to Strike Down Obamacare
Friday, 26 Mar 2010 06:32 PM Article Font Size
By: David A. Patten

President Barack Obama is one of the worst presidents ever in terms of respecting constitutional limitations on government, and the states suing the federal government over healthcare reform "have a pretty strong case" and are likely to prevail, according to author and judicial analyst Andrew P. Napolitano.

In an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV's Ashley Martella, Napolitano says the president's healthcare reforms amount to "commandeering" the state legislatures for federal purposes, which the Supreme Court has forbidden as unconstitutional.

"The Constitution does not authorize the Congress to regulate the state governments," Napolitano says. "Nevertheless, in this piece of legislation, the Congress has told the state governments that they must modify their regulation of certain areas of healthcare, they must surrender their regulation of other areas of healthcare, and they must spend state taxpayer-generated dollars in a way that the Congress wants it done.

"That's called commandeering the legislature," he says. "That's the Congress taking away the discretion of the legislature with respect to regulation, and spending taxpayer dollars. That's prohibited in a couple of Supreme Court cases. So on that argument, the attorneys general have a pretty strong case and I think they will prevail."  read more »

White House Parties

As I sit here trying to figure out how to pay my rent and utilities and budget my income so that I don't eat macaroni & cheese more than fifteen times this month or bologna sandwiches more than ten times, I came across a story in a handed-down newspaper about how the President and First Lady "understand" and "empathize" with those of us who lost their jobs or are on disability income and how they are going to "make things easier for all Americans by providing [us] with affordable health insurance."    read more »

Tea Party? No. No! NO!

Many conservatives are talking about creating a new political party and calling it the "Tea Party."  These conservatives feel that the Republican party is either not conservative enough or can not find a viable candidate, one that can defeat a Democrat in 2012.  The latest figures I saw were that 33% of Conservatives favor creating this new party, 52% of Conservatives do not want it and the remaining 15% were unsure.

I'm urging all Conservatives to stay with the Republican Party.  Creating a third party would divide the conservative vote and that's exactly what the Democrats would like.  We need every conservative voter to vote for one candidate or we have no chance of electing a conservative candidate.

The "Tea Party" group (TEA meaning "Taxed Enough Already") has done a superb job of organizing and demonstrating.  Never before had more than 1.5 million people come together in Washington DC as they did on 9/12/09.  Smaller local and state "TEA Party" demonstrations were held all across the nation and spread the word that we're tired of increased taxes.  All of these demonstrations were peaceful and effective, with a few exceptions where SEIU members intimidated some TEA Party members.  But creating a new third party will only harm the conservative cause.  read more »

From Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC)

November 17, 2009 - WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina), chairman of the Senate Steering Committee, made the following statement:

"Let's be clear: Any senator who votes to proceed to this bill is voting for a government takeover of health care. Senators who hide behind procedure and claim they just want to allow for debate are not being honest, they are trying to deceive their voters while helping to pass this terrible bill that will make health care more expensive.

"Earlier today, Democrat leaders told reporters that the Senate may vote to proceed to a shell bill, not related to health care reform, in an effort to grant the President's wish for a government takeover of our nation's health care by Christmas. These outrageous shell games won't fool Americans. Voters will remember who stands up for their freedom and who stands with the special interests who want to ram through this takeover."

"President Obama and Democrats have now put forward at least four different versions of their government takeover, and Harry Reid has been secretly working behind closed doors on the fifth act of this fiasco. But despite the nuances, every Democrat bill puts Washington in control of health care, slashes Medicare coverage for seniors, raises premiums for families, raises taxes, places bureaucrats between patients and doctors, punishes young adults who choose not to buy coverage, and opens the door to government rationing of care.  read more »

Watch for this Amnesty plan

The "Amnesty Bill" concerning illegal immigration is legislation that is being called a "piece of s&$*" by Rep. John Boehner.  This bill would probably not pass on its own merits so we better be watchful and make sure it's not attached as an ammendment to another piece of legislation we want passed.  Mr. Boehner's assessment of the "Amnesty Bill" is correct, although I would use the word "crap" so I wouldn't be censored.  Following are the major points of this bill, which is being panned as "lousy" even by the liberal media.

Illegal immigrants would be given legal status 24 hours after applying even if background check is not complete - and no one could do a thorough background check in 24 hours.

Taxpayers will pay for immigrants attorneys if they need one.

Illegal immigrants get "temporary" visas that can be renewed indefinitely, making them essentially permanent visas.   Amnesty for gang members.  There are an estimated 30,000 immigrant gang members.  All they have to do is say "I don't want to be a gang member anymore" and their crimes are forgiven.

Taxpayer dollars will be sent to Mexico for programs to encourage Mexicans to stay in Mexico.  That includes money for a Mexican healthplan for Mexicans and money to build schools.    read more »

Faith and Ministering

I am a double amputee quadriplegic after having suffered a broken neck in a diving accident in 1968.  My legs were amputated in 2000 due to diminished circulation, cellulitis and open wounds from pressure sores.  I'm not telling you this for praise, pity or any other emotion.  This is about how I began ministering to people without realizing I was doing the Lord's work.

In 1970 I was lying in a hospital bed after undergoing my fifth surgical procedure in less than 2 years.  My urologist had just removed kidney stones for the third time.  The incision went from just to the right of my navel around my side to a point just to the right of my spine.  read more »

ObamaCare? NO!

The Baucus healthcare reform plan is chock-full of provisions calling for new government mandates, higher taxes, increased spending and government-dictated, rationed health care.

In fact, it's so bad that Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl said of Baucus' plan: "This is a stunning assault on liberty!"

As previously stated, the Baucus bill hasn't even been written yet, much less read by the Senators who are doing the negotiating.

It's nothing more than a 200-plus-page shell of ideas to be rammed down the throats of the American people with all deliberate speed... before you and other concerned Americans have the time to find out what hit you.

Senator Lindsay Graham, speaking on FOX News, probably gave the best explanation of what exactly is going on: "[T]he Baucus bill... literally changes everyday... we're making this up as we go... they're trying to buy votes... the vision here is to pass something... they don't give a damn what it is and nobody understands what they're doing."

These so-called leaders just don't get it. Republicans and Democrats are quibbling over what type of government-run health care they believe to be best for you and your family and no one is fighting for the American people.

The words is out... the game is played... the man behind the curtain has been exposed... and it's now as plain as the nose on your face. Obama and the leftists in Congress don't want you to know what's in ObamaCare... they just made it clear that they just may try to hide all the sordid details from you.  read more »
