"Plan for America’s Job Creators” pushed by RPC Chairman Tom Price

The Obama administration seems determined to stifle job growth in America.  On the other hand, the Republicans in the United States House of Representatives have passed nearly 30 pieces of major legislation to create jobs in America.  Virtually all of them have been stopped from even getting an up-or-down vote in the United States Senate.

The latest effort by the House Republicans is a bill called the “Plan for America’s Job Creators.”  The Chairman of the House Republican Policy Committee (RPC), Congressman Tom Price, a physician from Georgia, says this about the newest job-creating legislation introduced by the House Republicans:   “There is a clear path forward on creating jobs here at home.  It begins with moving forward on those proposals that have bipartisan support, including the Keystone XL pipeline.  The White House ought to make this decision sooner, rather than later, and stop ignoring this obvious partial solution to creating American jobs and helping our energy challenges.  It also begins with the Democrat-led Senate acting on the nearly thirty bipartisan, pro-growth solutions passed through the House in conjunction with our Plan for America’s Job Creators.”

House Republicans Focused on Encouraging American Free Enterprise

Washington, D.C. – House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Tom Price, M.D. (R-GA) issued the following statement after reports that President Obama is holding a forum with business leaders at the White House today in the Obama Administration’s latest attempt to show initiative at creating jobs here in America.  This event comes as the American people await President Obama’s decision on whether to allow the Keystone XL pipeline project to move forward and create thousands of jobs in the United States.  In addition, nearly 30 pieces of legislation, passed as part of the House Republican Plan for America’s Job Creators, sit idle in the Democrat-controlled Senate.

“The challenges facing our economy require focused, long-term solutions rooted in our nation’s strong tradition of entrepreneurship and free enterprise,” said Chairman Price.  “Republicans in the House of Representatives have been hard at work putting forth plans to bring down the crushing burden of debt, enhance America’s energy security, and free up private capital and promote confidence in our economy so families and small businesses can thrive.  We have been calling on President Obama and Congressional Democrats to join us in the important work necessary to help our economy grow and more Americans find jobs.

“There is a clear path forward on creating jobs here at home.  It begins with moving forward on those proposals that have bipartisan support, including the Keystone XL pipeline.  The White House ought to make this decision sooner, rather than later, and stop ignoring this obvious partial solution to creating American jobs and helping our energy challenges.  It also begins with the Democrat-led Senate acting on the nearly thirty bipartisan, pro-growth solutions passed through the House in conjunction with our Plan for America’s Job Creators.  Following his meetings today, President Obama should call Senator Reid and urge Congressional Democrat leaders to get to work on the many House-passed, bipartisan solutions sitting idle over in the Senate.  That’s the type of meaningful leadership the American people need right now.”
