U.S. Senate to Vote on House-passed 3% Withholding Bill Today

The Senate will convene at 9:30 am.  At 10:00 am, will begin debate on S.J.Res.27, the EPA Cross-border Air Pollution Resolution of Disapproval.

Circa 12:05 pm, votes on:

(1)   Motion to proceed to S.J.Res.6, the FCC Internet and Broadband Resolution of Disapproval; and
(2)   Motion to proceed to S.J.Res.27, the EPA Cross-border Air Pollution Resolution of Disapproval. 

At 2:15 pm, the Senate will resume consideration of H.R. 674, the House-passed 3% withholding bill (which is identical to the text of S.1762, a bill introduced by Senator Brown (R-MA) and ten Republican co-sponsors). 

Circa 2:30 pm (or possibly a bit earlier), votes on:

(1)   McCain amendment #928 (GOP jobs bill) (60 vote threshold);
(2)   Tester amendment #927 (Veterans bill) (60 vote threshold);
(3)   Final passage of H.R. 674, the 3% Withholding bill; and
(4)   Cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R. 2354, the Energy and Water Appropriations bill (vehicle for the second minibus which includes Energy and Water, Financial Services, and State/Foreign Operations).

** The Senate will most likely finish voting by 4:00 pm.

As you know, tomorrow is Veterans Day, and Monday, November 14th, is a No Vote Day. 

As for next week on the floor, the Senate expects to be considering the second minibus as well as the conference report on the first minibus (which may include the CR through mid-December).  Leader McConnell continues to push for consideration of DoD Authorization.         

Note the House is in recess this week, November 7th-11th.
