Prior to the Republican

Prior to the Republican National Convention, a Gallup poll found that most voters were unfamiliar with Sarah Palin.

In November 2009 her autobiography Going Rogue: An American Life was released and it quickly became a best-seller. In January 2010 Palin began providing political commentary to the Fox News Channel under a multi-year contract.

Speculation that she will run for the Republican Party presidential nomination in 2012 began prior to the defeat of the McCain–Palin ticket in 2008. In February 2010 she stated she would not close the door on the possibility, and would run, "if I believe that that is the right thing to do for our country and for the Palin family."

she could run for vice president instead.

Governor Palin helped McCain

Governor Palin helped McCain from being a total disaster in his pitifull run for President. I really got a chuckle over the comment of the quote using scripture showing WOMEN not to speak in church and unworthy to TEACH men. What a distortion of truth. One cannot take the scripture out of the cultural circumstances of the time line of history. Women were CHATEL PROPERTY just like other property OWNED by men.To hang on to this wrong thinking is to justify SLAVERY.Paul sent the run away slave back to his master and was willing to PAY the slave owner for the slaves missed time so in like manner should we support slavery. Unfortunately many Denominations would not vote for a qualified female for no other reason yet send their male children to a female TEACHER in SCHOOLS.

I personally do not see Governor Palin as a viable candidate for president if we get to vote in the next election. She is a good choice for a Senate seat or other position of influence in government.

I would like to see Sarah

I would like to see Sarah Palin as VP and Mike Huckabee as POTUS in 2012. I think they are exactly what this country needs to bring us back. Both have served as State Governors and have an excellent record and neither have been tainted by WA DC beyond unfounded, ruthless attacks from the left and MSM.

Actually I think the best

Actually I think the best thing for the United States would be for Allen Keyes to be elected President with Sarah Palin as a possible VP

It is imperative to the

It is imperative to the future of this country that Sarah Palin run for President in 2012 and win. She has the wisdom, energy and principles necessary to lead this country back to greatness. My prayers go out to this wonderful woman and magnificent leader.

Palin Romney 2012 (or vice versa)

I was reading some of the

I was reading some of the comments and considering how totally off base some were concerning Sarah Palin. Unfortunately, many men have abdicated their responsibilities in our society. Thank God that we have a few good women who will step up to the plate and speak truth into our situation. Oh that men would have the integrity to speak truth. As for Sarah Palin's participation; I feel she should at very least be chairperson of the Republican party. We have no strong leadership at the moment. Concerning the comments about Sarah's intelligence and fitness for office...that's total nonsense and displays an attitude of rancor. Sarah displays an attitude of lovingkindness that I would love to see propagated across our nation. It would also be interesting to see the effects of that attitude toward other world leaders. I'm thinking she would totally disarm them (in a figurative sense).

NONE OF THE ABOVE. Gov.

NONE OF THE ABOVE.

Gov. Palin should become an embarrassing footnote in American political (and Christian) history.

1. She should obey the Bible and not seek to rule over men. Isa 3 makes it clear women political leadership is a sign of God's judgment of a nation--not progress.

2. If she were a male, NO ONE would consider her a future political player after her HORRIFIC candidacy. Gov. Palin is clearly not intellectually up to the challenge of leadership. Sen. McCain's selection of Gov. Palin was not only shocking, it was profoundly stupid.

Totally disagree because the

Totally disagree because the Bible has many passages concerning the involvement of women in the workplace and leadership. Each home and their spouses are under God's justice and rule as we walk with The Lord Jesus and each one has it's place in this world. It is not our place to judge woman or man on what he or she has believed to be God's call on their individual lives. As far as the woman not usurping authority over the man, it is speaking of the husband taking the spiritual leadership of his home as well as women not being allowed to teach in the "church" setting. Many disagree with the last part of the previous sentence, however that is pretty plainly rendered in the scriptures. Personally, I translate from scriptures that men can sit in on meetings that the women have gathered to study the scriptures, but not in the position of a student, rather as an overseer.
As far as Gov. Palin's future in my hopes, it would be great for her to run for the senate and get some experience there and then move on to possiible presidency, if she is so led. I personally think she is a great lady who has what it takes to move on in the political arena. America needs more women like her. She has done nothing to warrant your disparaging remarks. She is also a terrific, loving mother and grand-ma. Give the lady a chance! Lovingly submitted, "rusbarb"

I feel she should remain

I feel she should remain Governor until 2012 and then run for either President or Vice-President with Mike Huckabee as her running mate. I believe that they would make a great team to get us going in the right direction.

Palin is a fresh face, or

Palin is a fresh face, or would have been a fresh face in D.C. if the election turned out differently. I do not think she was ready to be Vice President this year or she will be ready for president in 2012.

She is doing a great job in Alaska and has all chances to get reelect. Maybe in a couple of years with a little more experience she will have a chance in all of the United States, to run for president. I am afraid a loose in 2012 might break her neck and she will be known for a looser but for being the future of the Republican party.

May God bless her

Sarah Palin should be

Sarah Palin should be encouraged to become a leader for all Conservatives, especially Christians, who have been abandoned and betrayed by the Republican Party. Maybe by remaking the party in the Reagan tradition. Maybe by forming a new party. Maybe by requesting new commitment and loyalty by Conservatives to Conservative values WITHOUT COMPROMISE.

America is now being ruled by an abomination and the so called Christians are the reason for it. We either unite and become PROACTIVE or submit to the slavery of immorality and a Godless society. When we argue about the morality of killing unborn infants we are not united or Christian. When we argue about calling evil a cancerous lifestile as homosexuality we are not united or Christian. When we cannot organize ourselves into action such as boycotts or legally confronting the ACLU we are not united or Christian.

SHE SHOULD NOT BE AN OBANA

SHE SHOULD NOT BE AN OBANA IN 2012.  IF SHE RUNS IN 2012.  GOD GAVE HER THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE KNOWN BUT NOW SHE MUST EARN HER RIGHT TO BE A LEADER IN THE RANKS OF THE BIG BOYS.  hILLARY TRIED TO DO THIS BUT THE IN PARTY CIRCLE JUST DID NOT BELIEVE HER.

VICTORY IN DENIAL OF OUR BELIVES IS NOT A VICTORY NOR IS DENIAL AT PRESENT DOESN'T MEAN DEFEAT;   WE HAVE A LIBERAL PARTY IN THE USA;  DEMO.

IF GOP IS GOING TO BE THE CONSERVERTIVE PARTY; THEN DO IT OR GET OUT.  WE HAVE FAR TOO MANY RINHOS.  GET RID OF THEM.  MCCAIN WAS A WOLF IS SHEEPS CLOTHING AND GOD DID NOT BLESS A FAKE; NOR DID I AND NOR SHOULD REAL CHRISTIAN CONSERVATIVES.

CHRISTIANS NEED TO STAND FOR GOD AND NOT FOR PARTY    WE NEED TO DECIDE TO WHOM DO WE SERVE AND IN WHOM DO WE HAVE OUR FAITH.  GET RID OF THE FAKE GOP; SO CALLED LEADERS AND DECIDE FOR WHOM SHALL WE WORK.

GOD SPOKE   I STILL BELIVE HIM TO BE IN CONTROL.  THIS ELECTION WAS ROBED;STOLEN AND GOP ARE TOO AFRAID OF THE BLACK POWER TO STATE THE FACTS.  I SAID BLACK POWER (I WAS JAILED 5 TIMES IN THE LATE '60 FOR STANDING (RATHER SETTING) FOR RIGHTS.  TODAY'S YOUTH NEED TO BE TAUGHT THE TRUTH OF FREEDOM.  NOT IN A SYSTEM OR PARTY   BUT TO DO RIGHT TO PEOPLE.  CHRIST DIED FOR PEOPLE.   NOT A CHURCH   NOT A GOV    NOT A SYSTEM.    I BELIEVE THAT IS WHY USA SEE THE NON NDENOMINATIONS RELIGIOUS GROUPS   GROWING.     IT  IS SO FUNNY AS A RELIGIOUS GROUP GROWS   OTHERS WANT TO COPY THEIR SYSTEM.    IT IS FUNNY  ALSO HOW YOUNG COUPLES TODAY WANT TO HAVE THE SAME ZIP CODES AND THINGS NOW; WHAT THEIR PARENTS SPENT 20-40 YRS EARNING.

CHRISTIANS IT TIME TO GET BACK TO THE BASICS     THIS IS THE BIBLE     IT IS THE POWER OF GOD   PUT PEOPLE FIRST;  GO OUT INTO THE BYWAYS;  GET DOWN IN DITCH TO HEAL THE DIRTY    LEARN TO FISH; SO YOU CAN TEACH OTHERS TO BE FISHER OF MEN.

5 YEARS AGO OUR CONGREGATION WAS AT 450  2 MINISTERS &  2 STAFFERS PLUS 2 MISSION WORK.    TODAY  1,400 WITH 7 MINISTER  &  8 STAFFERS  PLUS  24 MISSION WORKS.

WHAT HAPPEN;  HELP THE DIVIDERS TO MOVE ON  (GET RID OF RINOS)  GET BACK TO BASICS   PEOPLE FIRST NOT SYSTEMS    DO NOT COPY IT UNLESS WE CAN FIRST SEE IT FROM JESUS.   WE SAY WE DO NOT WANT JUDGES WHO MAKE LAWS.  YET AS A PARTY WE LET THE TAIL WAG THE DOG.  I DO NOT OWE ANY  THING TO HELP BALANCE THE RIGHTS OF THE DEVIL IN OUR COMMUNITY;   I WILL AND DO AND WANT  OUR COMMUNITIES TO FEEL HELP; SUPPORT; KINDNESSES; OUTREACH; HEALING; FED & CLOTHED; VISITATION; FROM THE LOCAL CHURCH.   NOT BIGGER BUILDINGS   BUT MORE THINGS FOR THE PEOPLE.

I hate to be divisive, but I

I hate to be divisive, but I find fault with your first statement.  Christians seem to be on board with the idea that God does not think much of Obama as a president or as a man.  I find this comical.  First of all, we don't know the state of Obama's heart nor his true intentions or even the status of his faith.  He's just like every other politician.  Secondly, unlike us, God cares about each and every person on this earth and if he cares about one issue he has to care about them all and how each issue affects each person.  He doesn't just care about the American middle class family with 3.5 children, a dog, and 5.5 televisions.  If you believe that, you need to consult your Bible.  Where a politician stands on abortion, I think means the same as where a politician stands on unchecked greed. (I 'd like to see the death toll world wide due to American corporate cost benefit analyses.)  I believe God cares about the 800 million people world wide who go to bed hungry each night.  I think God cares about how we as a nation take part in the creation of poverty, exploitation of the third world (leading to 1000s of deaths), creation of foreign conflict, backing of horrific regimes, factions, and dictatorships, and our apathy toward world autrosities such as genocide, hunger, AIDs, etc.  In this way, Obama may not be Republican, but he showcases the teachings of the Word of God.  McCain's website never even mentioned domestic social issues (with the exception of gay marriage and abortion).  You better believe God cares about whether or not a father is present in the home or if he's in and out of a jail system that is for private profit rather than rehabilitation.  1 in 100 people are in prison so that's a lot of broken families.  What about the fact that 1 in 5 kids in America live below the poverty level?  Maybe he overlooks them and just cares about whether or not Janet Jackson should be fined for everything she's got.  Maybe...

I never want to put false words in God's mouth, but leading up to the election I prayed diligently asking God to tell me who to vote for and his answer was clear.  I'm sure there are those who will be quick to reply to my post that God wants us to be liberal in our lives and not in how we vote, but I answer with this... that argument works both ways.  Maybe God didn't intend for us to force our morals on the world but rather let them make their own decisions.  The scripture certainly points in this direction.

I will however agree with your overall message that we have to get back to the foundation of our faith.  When that happens these sneaky politicians won't be as quick to use us for their own personal gain.  For instance, one day Mitch McConnell will stand before God and be judged for his decision just this week to stand on the side of blatant tax evasion by 1000s of US subsidiaries each year.  Just one example of someone in whom most Christians have placed their trust without taking their blinders off.

If you think God cares more

If you think God cares more about poverty than the unborn you have not taken the scriptures in complete context and balance. God (Jesus) did say, “when did I see you hungry……”, but he also judged people groups because they tore open the wombs of pregnant women. The Ten Commandments reflect the heart of God and nowhere within the “10” does specific verbiage talk about poverty as it does murder. I wonder if you consider Jesus a pacifist. Your comments bear light of your loathing towards war and or similar Conservative -American leanings. In the end-times the Bible speaks of Jesus as the conquering King. Read the last book of the Bible which speaks of blood flowing as high as the bridle on a horse. Jesus is the Commander of God’s Army. All of the social issues you speak of as being abdicated by Bush and his followers are important. GWB spent more money on AIDS than any other President. Facts are stubborn things. Where do you get your facts and information from as it relates to your stated atrocities? I’m guessing you are a typical liberal, because you associate with the kind of people who think Government should fulfill the Churches’ responsibility to feed, clothe and shelter the less fortunate. Especially since President Obama stated we are not a “Christian Nation” so why would America, a non-Christian nation, have poverty as one of its highest priorities? In conclusion, my final observation/reply to your reasoning of Obama’s acceptability as a candidate to vote for, President, Christian person, etc.. holds no Biblical merit. None of us have the right to judge his salvation. But his policies decisions make most Christians wonder where he gets his advice. McCain was less than to be desired, but he did not fumble when asked about the Life question, and many other social issues.

I am by no means a pacifist

I am by no means a pacifist and I believe just as most Biblical scholars that war is a viable solution.  But I also believe that God evaluates our intentions.  I am well aware of George Bush's contributions to AIDs in Africa and it may be one of his greatest achievements (but the 2008 election saw conservatives back away from such efforts as has been the case in the past).  However, I am also well aware that we hand choose almost every single leader of Iraq and Iran since 1960.  This was for our own economic and political gain regardless of the havoic it reeked on the populations there- I'm pretty sure that's multiple sins.  I'm also aware of our choice picks in Africa which have lead to countless deaths.

I get my stubborn little facts from academic articles, national publications, and yes, occasionally The Rachel Maddow show.  You see I take these courses and they make me read these twenty-forty page peer reviewed articles on such topics as the privatization of prisons, the military, and schools, drug issues, cycle of poverty, food ethics, consummerism and it's effects on the third world, deregulation of corporations, world organizations, global warming, arms trade, etc.  Then on the other side of the coin I'm going to med school next year so I get to learn about the issues with healthcare and how that relates back to the cycle of poverty.  Yea, stupid facts.  Stupid facts that show me how unethical our government has become.  I hate to break it to you but you don't have to pull a trigger to take a life.

Believe me, when you finish doing all that reading you see the world a little differently... the 75 cent chocolate bar in your hand was made from coca beans grown mostly with machete-wielding child labor some of which is slave labor.  The farmer's family becomes a part of the 800 million hungry, because he recieves a fraction of the net worth of his crops, because whoever owns the truck sets the price.  Then Hershey sets it's own low price.  http://www.worldcocoafoundation.org/info-center/document-research-center/Cacao_Socio-Economic.asp  Oh, and whenever you hear a recall for a certain automotive part, you can guarantee it cost more for the company to pay the lawsuits incured due to deaths caused by their products than it is to fix the problem.  And when I see some terrorist being carted into GMO, I think to myself, I wonder if one of his kids was killed in the 90s embargo which killed over 500,000 children.  My world isn't full of daisies and sunshine, because I know better... God knows better.  It's not about charity, it's about stopping us from committing crimes.  In England, corporations can be tried for murder.  Goodyear never once told it's employees vinyl chloride could disenegrate their fingertips and give them brain cancer.  http://web.ebscohost.com.proxy-remote.galib.uga.edu/ehost/pdf?vid=5&hid=113&sid=9ffeb298-6c26-4161-9520-7f26eff2e54d%40sessionmgr102  Talk about abortion... just so that you can have bananas mexican men are exposed to so much pesticide they are sterile.  Sir, with all do respect, McCain did fumble on most social issues, because the term social issues doesn't just include stem cell research, abortion, and gay marriage.

But if you would like me to go there, I will.  America isn't a Christian nation.  Look around you.  Is everyone Christian?  I mean can even the real Christians agree on anything?  Our nation wasn't even founded on the Christianity you and I profess to today.  But no in all seriousness, do you want us to be a established Christian nation?  Because the last time I checked, the Middle East has established religion.  I guess my point is that if this discussion was really about what was Christian or not Christian politically none of us would be on the winning side.

At the end of the day you stand on the side that fights against 1.2 million unjust deaths a year and I stand on the side that fights against millions and millions of unjust deaths.  We're called bleeding hearts for a reason.

Oh and everyone check out http://www.invisiblechildren.com to learn how you can help stop a 23 year war fought with kidnapped child soldiers and help rebuild the broken nation of Uganda.  Do it for the kids!  I take that back, my heart doesn't bleed, it beeps.  Now go watch the film, you'll never be the same.

Pastor Bonnie Briggs

Let me say up front Sarah Palin is a breath of fresh air.! I would like to see her continue to be active in Alaska. She said it best, she is in God's hands he will lead!

I think she should become

I think she should become the Chairman of the RNC. I think that she would be good at that and she would be able to devlope some strong ties with others in the party and then do all these other things. Plus the RNC needs some real help! I would like to see her run for president in 2012 also.

Well, I think that would

Well, I think that would only continue the party the left is having covering RNC Chairman Michael Steel, but I don't think it's possible now.  I definitely don't believe that public figures should all have ivey leaque educations, but I think our high ranking political officials should be knowledgable and intelligent individuals who can see the whole picture.  Palin's staff killed any chance of her obtaining a national position when they aired out her dirty laundry.  To me, not knowing Africa is a continent and not a country is only the tip of the ice berg.  I think the greatest indicator of her lack of qualification was how poorly she caught on when she first join the campaign.  I'm a kid from south georgia and I know way more about the WTO, world bank, and IMF than she did at the end of the campaign.  People aren't comfortable being more knowledgable or well read than their elected official.  However, I will say she is quite talented in administrative aspects (running an efficient budget), but the American people are so attached to their government programs that in the eight year Bush reign, no one dared to cut social spending (Great OpEd in NYT a month ago, couldn't find it, sorry.).
