David

The Recorded Deed to Jerusalem

Days after UNSC Resolution 2334 condemned Israeli settlements in the “occupied Palestinian territory” of Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem as a “flagrant violation under international law” Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat issued a strong rebuke: The mayor and his planning-committee director announced the committee’s intent to approve building 618 previously planned housing units in East Jerusalem—a first step toward an additional 5,600 units in the city. “I’m not ever going to stop building. No construction will be stopped by me as mayor,” he said. While the Obama administration harmed its ally by strengthening its enemies, if President Trump holds to his promises perhaps things will change going forward but there is already talk of backpedaling.

A Light unto all the Nations

In 2005 a team of Christians traveled to Israel to join the Jewish people at the Western Wall of the Temple Mount to pray for eight hours each day for that entire year asking G-d to make peace in Jerusalem and seeking His protection for the tiny Jewish state. Soon another Christian prayer team will arrive at the Western Wall again praying for eight hours each day for blessings to be upon Israel and her people; the people G-d Himself calls the “apple of His eye.”

If the Bible is Correct, They Will Turn Their Swords Against Each Other

Many stories of justice and of God overcoming evil fill the Bible, God’s Holy Word.  One of the most dramatic and best known is the amazing defeat of the giant Goliath by David in I  Samuel 17.  David was a shepherd boy who miraculously vanquished the mocking giant Goliath on a battlefield in Israel.  “The battle is the Lord’s,” shouted David as he hurled the fatal stone from his simple slingshot into Goliath’s forehead.  The giant crumpled dead onto the battlefield floor.  With this heroic feat and his simple trust in the Lord, David saved the Army and the nation of Israel from destruction.

The Jewish Homeland is at Stake

Jews and Christians alike are quite familiar with the biblical story of David and Goliath. Of course, it is much more than just a story. It is the true account of a historic event, a most important and significant event in the life of the Jewish people and nation.

The army of the enemy Philistines was camped nearby the army of the Israelites. The Philistines were prepared and ready to attack and they were confident of victory. They sent out their giant warrior, Goliath, to shout defiant threats to the Israelites.
