Rewarding Terrorists with U.S. Tax Dollars

Anyone paying the slightest attention is shaking their heads in disbelief over developments between two Middle East neighbors, the Israelis and Palestinians. The circumstances become more worrisome with a third party halfway around the world meddling in their affairs, the United States.   Will President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry act according to U. S. law or defy it?

Evangelical Christians Greatly Puzzled by Livni’s Actions

The Evangelical Christians of the world are the most ardent supporters of Israel.  They are puzzled to say the very least as to how a member of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s coalition, namely Tzipi Livni, could take independent actions with brazen disregard of the Israeli government’s position concerning the Hamas allied PLO.  Those of us who are not citizens of Israel and pay no taxes to Israel recognize that we do not have a voice in how the Israeli government functions but as observers we have noted Minister Livni’s actions which have left the Justice Minister caricatured as a fairy tale figure with an impotent mantra against a house of bricks.  Her actions are, indeed, puzzling.

American Support for Israel - A complicated matter?

A retired Army General and former high ranking official in the Obama Administration, recently spoke at a well-known American university. During the questions following his remarks he was asked by a student why “25% of US Foreign Aid goes to Israel.” The General stumbled around and gave no real answer other than “It’s complicated.”

What he did not say was that the premise of the question was wrong to start with because the percentage of US Foreign Aid to Israel is nowhere near 25%.

PALESTINIANS CAN’T EVEN AGREE AMONG THEMSELVES!

Almost every day we read in the newspapers that yet another deadly event has occurred between Hamas and Fatah in the Palestinian territories.  In order for peace to prevail, it is obvious that these two opposing groups of people must put their differences aside and somehow form a unified government.

It would seem logical that Israel’s Arab neighbors would rise to the occasion and put real pressure on Hamas and Fatah to put aside their differences and make peace.  But they do not.  The question is, “Why?”

Because GOD said, Israel is.

Israel’s right to exist started long before it became recognized as a modern nation by then President of the United States Harry S. Truman in 1948.  Its existence was predestined when God said to Abram “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.” Thus the everlasting covenant was established between Abram the Hebrew and God to go and establish Israel as the “Promised Land.

Al Jazeera, the Qatar-based international cable network, will open 12 new bureaus in various locations across the U.S.  The goal of the news outlet’s aggressive expansion is to become a household name in America.

The launch of the new bureaus will begin in the summer. In addition to expansion in New York City, bureaus will open in Nashville, Denver, New Orleans, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Seattle, Detroit and Washington, D.C.

Dawud Walid, executive director of Hamas-Linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), said he believes Al Jazeera America in Detroit is a positive development for the local Muslim community. “I believe Al Jazeera coming here to the heart of Muslim America can play a productive role in showing a clearer image of who we are as Muslims.”

Israel's Right to Exist and Live in Peace and Safety

Israel’s right to exist started long before it became recognized as a modern nation by then President of the United States Harry S. Truman in 1948. The Jewish Homeland is at Stake

Jews and Christians alike are quite familiar with the biblical story of David and Goliath. Of course, it is much more than just a story. It is the true account of a historic event, a most important and significant event in the life of the Jewish people and nation.

The army of the enemy Philistines was camped nearby the army of the Israelites. The Philistines were prepared and ready to attack and they were confident of victory. They sent out their giant warrior, Goliath, to shout defiant threats to the Israelites.

The Jewish Homeland is at Stake

Are Words Important? A Thousand to One Say Yes.

To make a point I would like to go back to the time, months ago, when we all listened to media reports about IDF soldier, Gilad Shalit’s, release from captivity.  We heard of his “capture” by armed Palestinian gunmen who, in more accurate terms, were Palestinian terrorists.  Furthermore, the term “captured” was a complete and intentional misnomer used by the anti-Israel media. Gilad Shalit was kidnapped in 2006, not “captured,” and his two IDF comrades were murdered, not “killed in the conflict.”
