Palin was right. ObamaCare’s “Death Panels” Begin.

During the 2009-2010 congressional health care reform debate about the president’s signature law, ObamaCare  --  passed without a single Republican Senator or a single Republican Representative voting for it  --  Sarah Palin issued a “statement on the current health care debate” which warned about ObamaCare’s “death panels.”

Palin wrote, on August 7, 2009, seven months before Obama’s socialized medicine scheme was signed into law:  “The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s ‘death panel”’ so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “’level of productivity in society,’ whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.”

Great Breakthroughs in Adult Stem Cell Research

Chloe: “You saved my life”

At a National Press Club lunch in Washington D.C. yesterday  --  sponsored by the Bethesda Life Foundation which was founded by the president emeritus of the 16 million member Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee, Dr. Morris Chapman   --  Dr. Jeong-Chan Ra, a prominent scientist and president of RNL Bio, introduced his new book, The Grace of Stem Cells: A Story of Science and Faith.

This writer had the privilege of sitting next to a couple of Dr. Ra’s patients, two outstanding young people, a brother and sister, who Dr. Ra has helped with the use of adult stem cells.  Their parents, both physicians in Long Beach, CA, found Dr. Ra through a doctor friend of theirs.  The bright and articulate young woman is mentioned in Dr. Ra’s new book in Case Study #8, title “Chloe Can Hear Again.”  At age 17, she had total deafness in left ear and hearing loss in right ear.  After receiving conventional treatment (steroids), she received three intravenous injections of stem cells over 15 days and had hearing restored to 50% in her left ear and 90% in her right ear.  At yesterday’s lunch, she seemed to have her full hearing restored.

France moves backward; U.S.A. seems to be following

Just when you thought that some of the European countries were gaining some economic commonsense and rejecting the disastrous path which bankrupted Greece took  --  with attempts to balance their budgets and cutting some of their bloated government programs  --  one of the major European nations went even further to the left this past weekend.  Incredibly, French voters elected the Socialist Party leader, Francois Hollande, as their president over the “conservative” President Nicolas Sarkozy who broke many of his campaign promises made five years ago when he was campaigning for president.

After his victory on Sunday, the socialist Hollande actually promised that he would institute far more government spending programs to turn the French economy around and increase taxes on  --  altogether now  --  “the wealthy.”  Hmm.  Sound familiar?  Barack Obama instituted a whopping one trillion (with interest) dollar spending program shortly after he was inaugurated and then rammed through Congress:  the multi-trillion dollar ObamaCare.  Of course, Obama’s trillion dollar “stimulus” was an abject failure just as French president-elect Hollande’s socialist programs will be.

The GOP Budget and America's Future

The president's budget gives more power to bureaucrats, takes more from taxpayers to fuel the expansion of government, and commits our nation to a future of debt and decline.

Is Europe’s Blatant Discrimination Against Christians Coming to America?

The news that the government of Great Britain is mounting a full-scale assault on Christians is not really surprising.  The left-wing in England, like their counterparts on the European continent, have long discriminated against Christians, while at the same time, in myriad ways, protected those of Muslim faith.  For much of his 3 years in office, Barack Obama and his administration have been mirroring Europe’s blatant discrimination against Christians.

The latest example of the rabid discrimination by Prime Minister David Cameron’s government in Great Britain against Christians came from a news report from the United Kingdom’s national newspaper, “The Daily Mail”.  According to the newspaper, the UK’s Equalities Minister Lynne Featherstone, a Liberal Democrat, has instructed government’s lawyers to stop Christian workers from wearing the cross.  The Cameron government will call on Europe’s “human rights” judges to dismiss the claims of Christian workers Nadia Eweida and Shirley Chaplin that they have a right to wear a cross to work as a symbol of their faith in Jesus Christ.

Democrats Win Pyrrhic Victory While Squashing Religious Freedom

In an Action Alert this week, Christian Coalition of America asked supporters to call both of their United States Senators to urge them to vote for an amendment by Senator Roy Blunt, Republican from Missouri, to stop the Obama administration from discriminating against Christians and other people of faith.

Unfortunately, through nefarious shenanigans, the Democrats would not even allow Senators to vote up or down on the Blunt Amendment.  Harry Reid, whose party controls the United States Senate - undoubtedly for less than a year more with disastrous votes for the Democrats such as Thursday’s vote - had to play cute and have a vote to “Table the Blunt Amendment” which would confuse a lot of Americans; and that was the Democrats’ intention. The vote was not about contraception as the pro-abortion liberals maintain, but maintaining religious freedom for all Americans which the Blunt Amendment would have done.

Regardless of the defeat of the Blunt Amendment by 48-51 on Thursday, the Christian Coalition of America will be scoring this vote in the 2012 Congressional Scorecard.  The American people will not be congratulating the Democrats for their pyrrhic victory nor for their their successful squashing of religious freedom in America when it comes time to vote this November.

Obama: America’s First Dictator?

Who needs a United States Congress or a United States Constitution when you are Barack Obama?  He has now assumed near-dictatorial powers such as trampling on the constitutional and religious freedom rights of the American people; signing into law unconstitutional legislation; making illegal “recess” appointments to his administration; dictating unconstitutional policy through executive action when he cannot get Congress to pass his socialist agenda; and on and on.

Most recently, Obama has tread upon the religious freedom rights guaranteed to the American people by the First Amendment in the Bill of Rights in the United States Constitution by demanding that religious institutions provide “free” abortifacient drugs, etc. to their employees in their health care plans, which Obama maintains ObamaCare gives his administration the right to do.

Speaker Boehner on Offensive Against Obama in Religious Freedom Battle

Barack Obama has instigated yet another firestorm over one of his abominable policy decisions.   Obama’s latest outrageous action is the rule which the Obama Administration put forth mandating that faith-based employers  --  including Catholic charities, schools, universities, and hospitals  --  provide services such as abortion-inducing drugs which they believe are immoral.   Such a religious freedom infringement imposed by Obama upon the American people is a result of the passage of the socialized medicine scheme called ObamaCare in early 2010.

As a result, the calls cascading into the United States Capitol switchboard are unequaled since Obama rammed that very same unconstitutional pro-abortion ObamaCare law through the United States Congress by unconstitutional means.

Super Committee: Super Failure

Did anyone with commonsense really think that a rigged congressional "Super Committee"   --  formed because of the failure of the United States Congress to come up with one or two or three or four trillion dollars worth of needed cuts to the federal debt  --   would ever accomplish their goal?

Actually, the "Super Committee's" assigned task was to come up with at least $1.2 trillion worth of cuts over the next decade or there would be automatic cuts across the federal government including half coming the defense budget.  Of course, the Democrats protected Medicare and Medicaid from any cuts or reform except maybe a couple billion dollars of administrative savings or whatever.

The "Super Committee" was doomed to failure because the Democrats stacked their half of the 12-member committee with left-wing idealogues.  The Republicans put on the committee a few Republicans who in the past have shown willingness to compromise, although there were a couple very conservative members selected by the Republican leadership.

Everyone will recall all the doomsday scenarios put out by Barack Obama and his party and their friends in the news media about the pending debt ceiling crisis early this year; then the crisis was put off for a couple more months, then the crisis was put off until last summer when the debt ceiling   --  absolutely for sure this time no question about it this time  --  had to be raised or the country would go bankrupt.

John McCain Wants To Do What??

While congress, and senators vote themselves pay raises that in themselves represents more money than most Americans earn in a year, and can retire after only one term in congress with pensions of over a million dollars, the Obama Administration is working to implement a CUT in benefits for veterans. How’s that again?

Two leaders of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Carl Levin, D-Mich, and John McCain, R-Ariz.are leading the charge against our veterans. Sen. John McCain???

In order to save money (to secure politician pensions) they intend to cut health care benefits from our service men and women, many whose lives have been permanently altered due to their service to America.

As if that isn’t enough, according to Associated Press, McCain and Levin also favored creating a commission to look at military retirement benefits and make recommendations to change. No changes were proposed for hefty raises and pensions for life enjoyed by congressmen and senators.

Over a trillion dollars has been spent on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan—civil wars between tribes we should never have been in. To hit a country involved in attacking America, yes. But engaging in their civil wars, NO.
