Israel

Are Words Important? A Thousand to One Say Yes.

To make a point I would like to go back to the time, months ago, when we all listened to media reports about IDF soldier, Gilad Shalit’s, release from captivity.  We heard of his “capture” by armed Palestinian gunmen who, in more accurate terms, were Palestinian terrorists.  Furthermore, the term “captured” was a complete and intentional misnomer used by the anti-Israel media. Gilad Shalit was kidnapped in 2006, not “captured,” and his two IDF comrades were murdered, not “killed in the conflict.”

In Times Like These

An Israeli citizen commented recently that in all his life in Israel, he has never known a time when there was more anxiety, more sense of danger and a greater feeling of insecurity than there is today among the Israeli people. So many perilous prospects exist right now that even the average Jewish person in Israel is more fearful and apprehensive than ever before.

“Chrislam”… Straight from the Pits of Hell

Maybe we should not be too surprised. Maybe we should have seen it coming. Incredible as it seems, it is now a shocking reality. What people would have thought impossible not so long ago is now coming to pass.  While not actually new on the scene, it is relatively new to America.  What is it? The answer is Chrislam!

Christian and Muslim leaders have been meeting together for months to work on mixing together Christianity and Islam into one religion. They are trying to form an ecumenical merger of these two opposing creeds into a new and strange partnership. And they are giving it the combination name of “Chrislam.”

The complexities of an Iran-Israel war

Don't solely look to politics and contemporary history to make sense of the Middle East, the Bible also sheds light on this turbulent time.

Lies and Deception Produce Another Loss For Radical Islam

You have probably heard mention at some time or other of the "Seven Wonders of the World." Of course, they are all strange and unusual physical phenomena that seem to defy reality. But it seems that another worldwide strange wonder, a mental and psychological wonder, took place at the United Nations  a few months ago.

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas addressed the UN General Assembly, asking them to support the establishment of a new, independent Palestinian state and to approve its admission to the United Nations. The great wonder is that so many in that UN crowd vigorously applauded Abbas numerous times, virtually expressing their support for such an undeserved and ridiculous request.

An Open Letter to the President, Subject: Jerusalem

Mr. President:

I am writing to you today about a matter that weighs heavily on my heart. That matter being about the idea to divide Jerusalem. The account of how the Jews came to have the land that is called Israel, where Jeruslaem is, that is given in the Bible is one that I believe to be absolutely true. Therefore, I must warn you about this dangerous course of action you want to take to divide Jerusalem.

The Lord God gave this land to the Jews. It was a private deal between him and Israel. The Lord gave no man the authority to insist that any of it be negotiated away and that includes Jerusalem.

The following account of these actions and what the rest of mankind's reaction to it should be are summed up in these few verses from the Book of Genesis Chapter 12:

1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Panetta’s Negative Attitude Toward Israel

United States Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta recently returned from the Middle East with a warning directed at Israel. "It’s pretty clear," he said, "at this dramatic time in the Middle East, when there have been so many changes, that it is not a good situation for Israel to become so isolated.” Therefore, Panetta insisted, "Israel must take risks for peace.”

Abu Mazen - The Great Deceiver

For the past two weeks I have been in Israel introducing political leaders and legislators from the southeastern region of the United States to Israeli officials in Jerusalem and also to the mayors of several Israeli towns and cities along the Gaza border. As I sat with my delegation of dignitaries listening to the various highly informative briefings presented to my group, I could not help but reflect upon the circus act which the elected leader of the Palestinian people performed before the United Nations a few months back.  As was noted in our briefings, the leaders of the Palestinian people have expertly mastered the art of manipulating the media in order to capture the hearts and minds of even the most educated people around the world.  Like a circus act, this is a marvel and a wonder in and of itself.  People attend carnivals and circuses in order to see strange and unusual performances.

Join our campaign to Stand with Israel

Last week President Obama put our country in a position of undermining the peace and security of the nation of Israel.

As Christians, we cannot allow this to happen.

In a major foreign policy speech, Barack Obama called for Israel to return to its former borders prior to the 1967 “Six Day War” with Egypt, Syria and Jordan.  In some places, those borders leave Israel less than nine miles wide.

(Click here and Stand with Israel today!)

As a result of that war – and in order to better defend itself – Israel expanded and has since defended those borders.  Now Barack Obama calls for the Jewish people to unilaterally give up that land and place themselves at risk again.

This comes while, as Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu pointed out, the Palestinians are governed by Hamas, the mid-east terrorist equivalent of Al Qaida.

The Lord Will Be a Stronghold

"May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you securely on high! May he send you help from the sanctuary, and support you from Zion." - Psalms 20:1-2 (NAS)

"The Lord will be a stronghold for the oppressed, A stronghold in times of trouble, and those who know Thy name will put their trust in Thee; For
Thou, O Lord, hast not forsaken those who seek Thee."
- Psalms 9:9-10 (NAS)
