Israel

Will Muslims Recognize Israel as a State? Don’t Hold Your Breath.

As a broadcast and print journalist who specializes in reporting news from the Middle East, I visit Israel many times throughout the year to gather material and information. It seems as though every time I return to America from Israel, I am asked the question, “Why do the Palestinians refuse to recognize Israel as a state?”

Another question which often comes my way is, “Why does Israel receive more news coverage (mostly all negative) than virtually all other countries in the world?” Both of these are valid and highly complex questions.

Important Ingredient Missing in the Campaign for President of the United States

Have you noticed that in all the current U.S. presidential campaign oratory, in all the TV debates, and in all the mass media coverage of the campaigns, something has been missing? Yes, one most important subject, one most serious issue has been strangely missing and that missing ingredient is nothing other than Israel!

Of course, the first thing we must ask is, "Why?"  Why is Israel not on the minds of candidates Obama and Romney? Why are they seemingly ignoring one of America's most important foreign policy issues? Why has there been no in-depth mention of Israel in their campaign rhetoric?

Prophetically-inspired Events Accelerating at Dizzying Pace

The war drums between Iran and Israel have been beating louder and louder, but both countries face tremendous hurdles that appear to be preventing the obvious. Iran, for example, may well have the warheads, but their missile technology is not yet advanced enough to deliver an accurate strike on Israel. Israel may have first strike capability, but it does not yet have the backing of world super powers to provide the much needed political, and quite possibly, military support.

"Triple Standard" for Israel

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called it accurately recently in an American TV interview. He said that the world holds Israel to a "triple standard." Not a double standard, but a triple standard. He explained that there is one standard for the world's dictatorships, a second standard for the world's democracies, and a third standard for Israel.

Are Words Important? A Thousand to One Say Yes.

To make a point I would like to go back to the time, months ago, when we all listened to media reports about IDF soldier, Gilad Shalit’s, release from captivity.  We heard of his “capture” by armed Palestinian gunmen who, in more accurate terms, were Palestinian terrorists.  Furthermore, the term “captured” was a complete and intentional misnomer used by the anti-Israel media. Gilad Shalit was kidnapped in 2006, not “captured,” and his two IDF comrades were murdered, not “killed in the conflict.”

In Times Like These

An Israeli citizen commented recently that in all his life in Israel, he has never known a time when there was more anxiety, more sense of danger and a greater feeling of insecurity than there is today among the Israeli people. So many perilous prospects exist right now that even the average Jewish person in Israel is more fearful and apprehensive than ever before.

“Chrislam”… Straight from the Pits of Hell

Maybe we should not be too surprised. Maybe we should have seen it coming. Incredible as it seems, it is now a shocking reality. What people would have thought impossible not so long ago is now coming to pass.  While not actually new on the scene, it is relatively new to America.  What is it? The answer is Chrislam!

Christian and Muslim leaders have been meeting together for months to work on mixing together Christianity and Islam into one religion. They are trying to form an ecumenical merger of these two opposing creeds into a new and strange partnership. And they are giving it the combination name of “Chrislam.”

The complexities of an Iran-Israel war

Don't solely look to politics and contemporary history to make sense of the Middle East, the Bible also sheds light on this turbulent time.

Lies and Deception Produce Another Loss For Radical Islam

You have probably heard mention at some time or other of the "Seven Wonders of the World." Of course, they are all strange and unusual physical phenomena that seem to defy reality. But it seems that another worldwide strange wonder, a mental and psychological wonder, took place at the United Nations  a few months ago.

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas addressed the UN General Assembly, asking them to support the establishment of a new, independent Palestinian state and to approve its admission to the United Nations. The great wonder is that so many in that UN crowd vigorously applauded Abbas numerous times, virtually expressing their support for such an undeserved and ridiculous request.

An Open Letter to the President, Subject: Jerusalem

Mr. President:

I am writing to you today about a matter that weighs heavily on my heart. That matter being about the idea to divide Jerusalem. The account of how the Jews came to have the land that is called Israel, where Jeruslaem is, that is given in the Bible is one that I believe to be absolutely true. Therefore, I must warn you about this dangerous course of action you want to take to divide Jerusalem.

The Lord God gave this land to the Jews. It was a private deal between him and Israel. The Lord gave no man the authority to insist that any of it be negotiated away and that includes Jerusalem.

The following account of these actions and what the rest of mankind's reaction to it should be are summed up in these few verses from the Book of Genesis Chapter 12:

1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
