James Madison

Obscure Diagnosis

Yes, we’re in flu season but that’s not the sort of disease to which I’m referring.  What I’m talking about is immune to any sort of preventive measures and has survived for thousands of years.  Antisemitism, the irrational hatred of the Jews, is a rising epidemic which is spreading around the world.

Jimmy Carter Said WHAT About Perry's Public Prayer? Video

It is disturbing, to see a grown man who boasted about teaching Sunday School while holding the highest office in the world, sit in front of a camera and with a straight face, knowingly lie. That is exactly what former President Jimmy Carter did while being interviewed by Rachel Maddow on MSNBC.

It all started because Texas Governor-Presidential Candidate Rick Perry called for a national day of humiliation, prayer and fasting for our country, inciting a gasp of outrage from a small but vocal minority in this country. Never has there been a greater need for God’s guidance and protection over America than today.

And to see a current presidential candidate invoking, by collective prayer, the presence of God in America, brought a sigh of relief and encouragment to the largest portion of the population of The United States.

The moment the call for public prayer in Texas was announced, the battle was on between those who rejoiced that a man in public office was sincerely seeking God’s guidance, and those in the minority who are determined to abolish prayer.

Pittsburgh’s Helen Trautman sent clips from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and the New York Times that bashed Gov. Perry for the prayer rally in Houston that was attended by 30,000 people from all over America.

The Gazette (8/9/11) headlined their scribble: “Perry’s Rally; A Presumptive Candidate Mixes Politics and Prayer.” No byline was given. Their Marxist inspired complaint was, “What about those who do NOT believe in God?”

Liberals celebrate "Day of Rage" tomorrow; Rest of America celebrates "Constitution Day"

It is hard to believe, but we increasingly have two separate Americas.  Many liberals have their "government knows best" and "America is bad" positions and the rest of Americans believe in America's exceptionalism. Tomorrow, many liberals will "celebrate" something socialists, communists and anarchists around the world call a "Day of Rage".  They want to fight "market dictatorship."  They want an end to capitalism and the free enterprise system in America and around the world.  In America, they will "take to the streets"  and protest at Wall Street in New York City.

On the other hand, many other Americans will be celebrating America and the United States Constitution.   Christian Coalition of America has, during the month of September, been encouraging all Americans to read the entire constitution on Constitution Day, 2011 being celebrated on Saturday, September 17.

Liberals like to forget that the Constitution of the United States is the Supreme law of the land.   On September 17, 1787, the Founding Fathers established  --  at the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention, presided over by George Washington   --  the Constitution as the framework for organizing the federal government.

The "Father of the Constitution," and future president, James Madison, had many great quotes about the Constitution including these:
