An Unintended but Pleasant Surprise for Israel

Although Barack Hussein Obama’s tenure as President of the United States has ended and John Kerry is no longer the U.S. Secretary of State, Israel’s woes on the world’s stage are not over. However, under the new Trump administration, Israel will hopefully once again find they have a true and loyal friend in the United States.

Will Pope Bring Blessings or Curses to the Catholic Church?

Pope Francis will be welcomed to the Holy Land by Israel on May 25, 2014.  His visit will, no doubt, be touted by the press as a renewed call for peace and reconciliation among the diverse and divided population who call this place home.  His visit brings to mind the long and turbulent history of Christianity’s connection to Israel. The Pope is supposedly bringing with him a message of unity and peace however it is not for everyone.  Reports state that he is planning to meet with the Mufti of Jerusalem on Israel's holiest site, the Temple Mount.  What a slap in the face to Israel.  Clearly the Pope seems to be aligning himself with the Palestinians.

PALESTINIANS CAN’T EVEN AGREE AMONG THEMSELVES!

Almost every day we read in the newspapers that yet another deadly event has occurred between Hamas and Fatah in the Palestinian territories.  In order for peace to prevail, it is obvious that these two opposing groups of people must put their differences aside and somehow form a unified government.

It would seem logical that Israel’s Arab neighbors would rise to the occasion and put real pressure on Hamas and Fatah to put aside their differences and make peace.  But they do not.  The question is, “Why?”

Muslims Can’t Exist Peacefully Side By Side

Conflict between Jews and Muslims is certainly nothing new.  In the Middle East it has been going on for centuries producing war after war and conflict after conflict.  Death is always the result.  The dead on both sides, both Jews and Muslims, are buried in the ground - the very same ground deeded to the Jews by God Himself in an eternal covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The bodies of the dead, Muslims and Jews alike, ‘rest in peace’ side by side buried in the same ground as their ancestors.  Can Muslims only exist peacefully side by side with Jews in death?
