Action Alert: Help Us Defend "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"

Dear Friend,

President Obama promised yet another radical change to America in his recent State of the Union speech. He wants to overturn the military's ban on homosexual activity in its ranks.

Earlier this year, President Obama and the Democrats passed a "Hate Crimes" bill which will limit freedom of speech about homosexuality. Then President Obama called on Congress to overturn the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

Now President Obama wants to change our military.  read more »

Action Alert: Massachusetts Christian Coalition Worked to Get Out the Vote, Democrats Vow to Ignore the Voters

"We will have health care...one way or another."

That's how Nancy Pelosi responded when asked about the impact of the Massachusetts Senate race on the Democrats push to pass Obamacare.

As election returns are coming in from Massachusetts, it's obvious that people have had enough.

They had enough of big government, bigger spending and the politicians who ignore them.

And they've had enough of Barack Obama's push to put the government in greater control over our health care.

Action Alert: Support S.C. Attorney General Henry McMaster's State Fairness Effort

Dear Friend,

South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster -- the leader of a group of 13 Republicans and one Democrat State Attorneys General -- is threatening to file a law suit against Congress in order to stop passage of the radical health care bill currently being considered.

The suit will be based on the fact that Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid made a deal with Democrat Senator Ben Nelson from Nebraska, who was the deciding vote for the Democrats' Obamacare bill and the deal was to have the federal government pay for Nebraska's Medicaid increases forever. Treating one state differently from other states on Medicaid funding in order to get a Senator's vote is unconstitutional.  read more »

Coalition Guest Commentary - Rep. Henry E. Brown: Protecting the Sanctity of Christmas

This holiday season, I am perplexed by the mounting discussion surrounding the ‘proper' way to commemorate December 25th. Why are we hard-pressed to say ‘Season's Greetings' or ‘Happy Holidays' yet, urged to avoid pronouncing the Christmas holiday and steered away from wishing others ‘Merry Christmas'?

I am troubled by the growing sentiment that the phrase ‘Merry Christmas' is not appropriate and I am worried that attempts to celebrate a ‘politically correct' holiday season may cause the loss of some of the traditions sacred to this widely celebrated holiday.  read more »

Coalition Guest Commentary - Sen. Lindsey Graham: Clean Energy Bill Should Balance Security, Economy and Environment

Our nation stands at a crossroads as many significant issues have been ignored for decades. Among them is energy independence and passing along a cleaner environment to future generations.

As a conservative, I have always believed we can and should be better stewards of God's creation. I also know we can strengthen our economy and national security by becoming energy independent.

Last year we spent more than $440 billion on foreign oil and now find ourselves more dependent on overseas supplies than at any other time in our nation's history. Sometimes our money even goes to fund enemies bent on our destruction.

And who will ever forget last year's $4 a gallon gas? America has been held hostage by foreign cartels far too long and it's now time we do something about it.  read more »
