This past Saturday, Nancy Pelosi and the liberal leadership in the House of Representatives pushed through one of the most radical pieces of legislation in our nation's history by a margin of TWO votes.

They twisted arms and bought votes with your tax-dollars.

They even pretended to agree with having pro-life provisions in the bill - only to have pro-choice Democrats go on record after the bill passed saying that pro-life language must be deleted from the final bill.

And on Monday, President Obama went on record agreeing with them.

Yesterday afternoon Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced that the Senate's ObamaCare bill will include a "government option" in the Senate's health care bill.

Put simply, this means an eventual government takeover of our nation's healthcare system.

The Democrat leadership now needs 60 votes in order to bring their bill to the Senate floor. Which means they will be working to get the support of about a dozen key Senators from mostly conservative and moderate states.

They will pressure them for their support. Which means conservatives need to do their part to pressure them as well.

As the debate over health care reform continues it is becoming clear that the final result will ultimately come down to what a handful of lawmakers do. And what they do will have a great deal to do with what they hear from you.

Specifically, members of Congress known as "moderates" and others known as "Blue Dog Democrats" represent the key in this debate. And they need to hear from the people that they represent.

In one of the most cynical moves in congressional history, Harry Reid and the Democrat Senate leadership have inserted the so-called "hate crimes" – what many call "thought crimes" – legislation into the National Defense Authorization Act
(S. 1390).

It is an overt partisan move which attempts to make conservative and moderate senators choose between funding our troops or voting for the abominable
"hate crimes" legislation.

The bill could potentially imperil the free speech rights of Christians who choose to speak out against homosexuality – which could even be extended to preaching against it. Conservatives have fought the legislation in the past
on the grounds that it could be used to prosecute religious groups who say homosexuality is morally wrong.  read more »

The House of Representatives, in the 111th Congress, led by the Democrat leadership, is one of the most partisan Congresses in U.S. history. They refuse to allow the minority to have an opportunity to add amendments to major pieces of legislation.

They are doing exactly this with regards to the Financial Services Appropriations bill to be debated on the floor of the House of Representatives on Thursday. The vote on this funding bill could be as early as Thursday afternoon or evening.  read more »

Last March, President Barack Obama issued an executive order that will allow virtually unrestricted federal funding of embryonic stem cell research. Funding that will create incentives for scientists to create new human embryos specifically to destroy them for research.

Former President Bush set a policy in place in 2001 that restricted federal funding only to stem cell lines that existed as of that date - thus discouraging "create and kill" behavior.

Obama's proposed new policy would eliminate that restriction.

The National Institute for Health has posted draft guidelines to implement Obama's new policy,  but these guidelines are subject to a thirty day public comment period, which expires on May 26^th.  read more »

Call Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, to demand an apology for the outrageous DHS memo disparaging America's veterans and pro-lifers

Barack Obama's Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security is stubbornly refusing to apologize to our nation's veterans for issuing a DHS intelligence assessment which disparages veterans as possible terrorist threats. The report also defamed peaceful pro-lifers.

Roberta Combs, president of the Christian Coalition of America said: "I agree with the Democrat chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, Congressman Bennie Thompson, when he said he was "dumbfounded" that such a report would be issued. Veterans and pro-lifers should not be targeted as terrorist threats by the Obama administration. This partisanship must stop."  read more »
