Washington, D.C. – Congressman Jeff Duncan (SC-03) filed legislation, the Ultrasound Informed Consent Act, to give a voice to the voiceless in the 117th Congress:
“Abortion is a devastating atrocity in our country, and I believe ending this atrocity is the most important issue we face. I will always work to protect the unborn in Congress by supporting life-saving legislation like the Ultrasound Informed Consent Act and advocating for policies that ensure the right to life for innocent unborn babies. I pray we move our country closer and closer to one that rights the wrong of Roe vs. Wade and values the sanctity of human life.”
Background: Congressman Jeff Duncan has been the sponsor of the Ultrasound Informed Consent Act since the 114th Congress. The bill ensures that women seeking an abortion receive an ultrasound and the opportunity to review the ultrasound before giving informed consent to receive an abortion. This bill is supported by the National Pro-Life Alliance. You can read the bill HERE.
