PATCHOGUE, NY – Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1), member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the following statement after the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) revealed that Iran has stockpiled enriched uranium that is more than 18 times the limit laid out in the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA):
“The Biden Administration cannot continue to recklessly push for a nuclear deal with Iran that is even more flawed than the original agreement. There must be 100 percent transparency with Congress and the American people about how they plan to hold the Iranians accountable, avoid repeating the mistakes of the disastrous 2015 JCPOA, which Iran repeatedly disregarded and violated without consequence, and prevent the world’s largest state sponsor of terror from acquiring more materials to build nuclear weapons.”
