House Republican Whip Scalise to Lead CODEL to Southern Border

WASHINGTON, D.C.—House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) will lead a delegation of 10 members to the southern border this week to see firsthand the devastating national security, humanitarian, and health crisis that President Biden has created with his disastrous immigration policies that have caused an unprecedented migrant surge.

Members will arrive this Thursday, April 8th, and meet with Border Patrol Agents and participate in an evening ride-along tour with the National Border Patrol Council. On Friday, April 9th, members will tour the Donna Migrant Processing Facility, partake in an operational brief, tour the border wall in McAllen, partake in a riverine tour with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), and conclude with a media availability to discuss their visit.

The following members will join Whip Scalise on the delegation trip: Republican Leader of the House Administration Committee Rodney Davis (R-Ill.), Republican Leader of the House Foreign Affairs Committee Michael McCaul (R-Texas), Republican Leader of the House Intelligence Committee Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), House Republican Conference Secretary Richard Hudson (R-N.C.), Rep. French Hill (R-Ark.), Rep. Bob Latta (R-Ohio), Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-N.Y.), Rep. Steve Stivers (R-Ohio), Rep. Ann Wagner (R-Mo.), and Rep. Steve Womack (R-Ark.).
