WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven issued the following the statement after the swearing in of the 118th Congress.
“With the start of the 118th Congress, we need to focus on addressing the real issues impacting American households,” said Hoeven.
“That means getting inflation under control, and the best way to do this is to unleash all of America’s vast energy resources, including our abundant oil, gas and coal reserves. At the same time, we need to reduce spending and find savings to address our debt and deficit, while advancing other important priorities for our nation, such as good farm policy, public safety and helping create a pro-growth business climate. In particular, I will work to pass a strong farm bill that supports our producers and ensures the U.S. continues to have access to the highest quality, lowest cost food supply in the world.”
